The upcoming solo exhibition to be held in June in London is an un-missable opportunity for the art lovers to witness Romina Ressia's best artworks in the city and get an understanding of why she is quickly turning into one of the most remarkable conceptual photographers of the current time.Romina Ressia, contemporary conceptual photographer, will have her first solo exhibition in the UK at the House of Fine Art (HOFA), London, from June 5 through June 19, 2019. This exhibition will showcase her critically admired 'The Age of Decadence' collection. The highlights of the exhibition include the 'Pop-corn' and 'Double Bubble Gum', both are award-winning photographs as per a PR Newswire release.“The compositional and stylistic aesthetic of Romina Ressia's works show the combined influence of her training in fashion photography, fine art, and art direction. The masterful use of luxurious textures and impeccably structured scenes, captured with artful focus on the women who pose for her, have attracted top fashion magazines like Vogue and Vanity Fair to both feature and commission her works. Her art, which often subverts received notions of feminine beauty, celebrates beauty devoid of the artifice, and for this reason, is also considered a refreshing approach to fashion photography,” says the release.Apart from the style and aesthetics, Romina Ressia's art is deemed to be relevant as well as conversational. They are basically believed to be artistic social narratives with the thematic and compositional depth that together form an entertaining visual experience. The renaissance-inspired colors and textures which define her works are sometimes remarkably interrupted by things of modernity, making way through constructed dissonance, a re-evaluation of the level to which the function and beliefs of females have evolved with the passage of time.A little knowledge about the artist’s background goes a long way in understanding their work better. For the uninitiated, the artist was born in 1981 in Argentina and hails from a small town near to Buenos Aires. Her love for art started at a very young age but it was only after her graduation in economics when she was in her late twenties, that she decided to give a shot to Photography, which later became her life. The artist has studied Photography, Art Direction, Fashion Photography along with Scenery at different institutes and colleges, which includes the Institute of the prestigious Teatro Colon. And her inspiration comes mainly from Classic Paintings.Click on the slideshow for a sneak peek at the exhibition https://www.blouinartinfo.com/ Founder: Louise Blouin Read more
