Moet & Chandon recently unveiled the renovated Chateau de Saran, which has been a property of the maison since 1801, with a majestic soiree. Restored to perfection after five years of effort, this architectural marvel in the green landscape of Champagne had been launched in time to host a grand celebration. The event marked the 150th anniversary of Moet Imperial, the signature champagne of the maison, with a unique culinary experience brought to life by two Michelin-starred chefs.Stars like Natalie Portman, Uma Thurman and Douglas Booth from Hollywood were welcomed by the French fine winery during the event along with international socialites such as Derek Blasberg and Kate Moss. They are or also had been the brand ambassadors besides being friends of the maison. The special night witnessed the toast being raised to mark the 150th anniversary of Moet Imperial.“A property of Moet & Chandon since 1801, the Chateau de Saran was once a hunting lodge turned into a family residence. Since the 1960s it has welcomed guests of the champagne house. The magnificently renovated Chateau de Saran will once again become the site of festive celebrations where Moet & Chandon’s honored guests will enjoy unique experiences and revel in the maison’s legendary ‘savoir-fete,’” says Moet & Chandon.“We are thrilled to welcome our honored guests to the beautifully-restored Chateau de Saran to celebrate the 150th anniversary of Moet Imperial in grand style, and to mark a pivotal moment in our house’s history,” said Stephane Baschiera, President and CEO of Moet & Chandon.Treating the special guest with a cocktail party as a reception, Moet & Chandon served dinner amid a remarkable mirrored decor created to reflect the grandeur and beauty of the maison’s Chouilly vineyards. The dinner was prepared as a concerto for four hands. The delectable meal exhibited the culinary skills of Yannick Alleno, who has been credited with being a three-Michelin-starred chef besides being the brand ambassador of Moet & Chandon since 2014, and the artistry of Dominique Crenn, chef of the Michelin three-star restaurant Atelier Crenn in San Francisco, according to the brand. The eventful day concluded with a live and exhilarating performance by Freya Ridings, who has the credit of being Britain’s biggest breakthrough artist in 2018.
