The horse is modeled standing foursquare on a rectangular plinth, with its head lowered and the mane swept upward, the saddle draped with a green-glazed saddle cloth, the rider on top is shown with his proper right hand raised, the head modeled separately. The groom is shown standing on a rectangular plinth, wearing a belted knee-length robe and one hand raised as if to hold the reigns, the sleeves and lower section of the tunic under the coat is glazed in green, the head modeled separately. Equestrian: 16½ in. (42 cm.) high; Groom: 11 in. (28 cm.) high. Estimate: 6,000 USD - 8,000 USD— LOT 14: “A Blue And White 'Phoenix-Tail' Vase.” Kangxi Period (1662-1722). The vase is decorated on the body and neck with two main registers containing shou medallions alternating with lotus blossoms, between further decorative bands with shou characters and wan symbols at the foot, shoulder and rim. 18 in. (45.5 cm.) high. Estimate: 6,000 USD - 8,000 USD— LOT 19: “A Copper-Red-Glazed Vase.” 18th Century. The vase is covered with a rich, deep, crushed-strawberry glaze rising up to the slightly flaring neck and thinning to a pale tone at the mouth rim. The interior and base are covered with a clear glaze. 13 in. (33 cm.) high. Estimate: 6,000 USD - 8,000 USD— LOT 31: “A Pair of Wood Figures of Guardian Figures.” Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). Each figure is carved standing on a platform, with one arm slightly raised and dressed in a full armor and helmet with elaborate carved details. 21 in. (53.4 cm.) high; 20⅛ in. (51.1 cm.) high. Estimate: 6,000 USD - 8,000 USD— LOT 159: “Two Pale Greenish-White Jade Rectangular Plaques.” 18th-19th Century. The first, a vertical plaque, is carved on one side with a scholar and an attendant in a landscape, the reverse carved with a crane and a deer among rocks; the second, a horizontal plaque with natural russet mottling, is carved on one side with a scholar leaning on a tree in a landscape, the reverse is plain. 6 x 4¼ in. (15.2 x 10.7 cm.); 3¾ x 5½ in. (9.5 x 13.8 cm.) Estimate: 6,000 USD - 8,000 USD— LOT 6: “A Carved Qingbai Bowl.” Song Dynasty (960-1279). The bowl, with rounded sides rising to a slightly flared rim notched with six lobes, is carved on the interior with a large leafy blooming peony, and covered overall with a thin bluish-green glaze. 7¾ in. (19.7 cm.) diam. Estimate: 5,000 USD - 7,000 USD—LOT 23: A Pair of Famille Rose Bowls: “Xuantong Six-Character Marks In Underglaze Blue And Of The Period (1908-1911).” Each bowl is decorated on the exterior with four conjoined lotus sprays alternating with Buddhist emblems. 5¼ in.
