No visible hallmark for gold, hallmark on inside of top SC. Rectangular shape with rounded edges and hinged hinged lid. Interior with hidden play mechanism. Partially blue enamelled with guilloche and ornamental decor. Measurement: 2.3x8x4.8cm; Weight: 212 g. Featured in lot 299. Estimate: EUR 20,000 - 25,000 (22,800 USD - 28,500 USD).— “Lapis Lazuli Golddose (Lapis lazuli gold box),” Nantes, ca. 1780. Rim hallmarked on inside and outside with cock's head, Edelweiss hallmark (Nantes?) and another rhombus-shaped hallmark on the inside which is hard to identify as it is rudimentary (probably maker's mark). Measurement: 2.8x6.9x5.1cm; Weight: 132 g. Featured in lot 298. Estimate: EUR 14,000 - 18,000 (16,000 USD - 20,500 USD).— “Himmelblau emaillierte Golddose mit Miniatur (Sky-blue enamelled gold box with miniature),” France, 18th/ 19th century. Double hallmark on inside rim with Italian assayer's mark and further mis-struck hallmark. With few signs of ageing and wear. Measurement: 2.6x9.7x6.1cm; Weight 245 g. Featured in lot 303. Yellow gold decorated with white, pink, and blue enamel. Lid with large enamel field with depiction of the Allegory of Love in the shape of a female nude in a stretch of water with two doves. In original case. Measurement: 1.4x9x5.8cm; Weight: 102 g. Featured in lot 306.
