The case with a pagoda top mounted with ball and pinecone finials, the painted 12 in. dial signed ‘Thwaites & Reed/ Clerkenwell/ LONDRES.’ Measurement: Clock 121cm high; 63cm wide; 48cm deep; Base 114cm high, 77cm wide, 64cm deep. Estimate: £30,000 - £40,000 (36,400 USD - 48,500 USD)— “Fine George III Mahogany and Ebonised Breakfront Library Bookcase,” Attributed to Gillows of Lancaster, early 19th century. The cornice with a central tablet and bead molded frieze, surmounted by four turned and carved urn finials. Measurement: 154cm wide, 207cm high, 48cm deep. Featured in lot 201. The dentil and leaf tip carved cornice above a central mirrored door flanked by side cabinets with shaped mirror panel doors outlined with ribbon and bead molding and marked at the corners with shells, opening to shelves. In the Hepplewhite style, comprising a pair of armchairs and 12 side chairs, the oval molded frame backs with central waisted vertical pierced splats.
